A co-founder of SVN/Providence Realty Advisors, Rob’s background combines commercial real estate and construction/development. This depth of experience helps clients make better, more informed deals and anticipate potential issues before they arise. Rob specializes in retail landlord and tenant representation, complex project management and creating win-win solutions. He has been representing landlords and tenants in retail transactions over 30 years.
From 2014-2016, Rob acquired four grocery-anchored retail centers with a collective acquisition value of more than $30 million, including raising $11 million of equity. He co-founded and ran a commercial/retail/restaurant design and construction company with total billings of more than $100 million during his tenure. In 2008, he developed, designed, and constructed a 31,000 square foot retail center in Dumfries, VA, which he still owns with partners. He believes in function over form and the power of “Done”.
Rob graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a double degree in Finance and German Area Studies. He and his wife live in Potomac, MD, while their combined 4 children live all around the globe. Rob enjoys fitness activities, cycling, martial arts and photography. Rob is the co-chair of the Ride to End ALZ – National Capital Area, an annual cycling event in the DC area in which riders raise funds for Alzheimer’s research. The inaugural event in 2022 had 350 riders and raised $350,000. Rob is the chief co-founder instructor of The Movement, a free martial arts program based in Southeast DC.
